Meaningful trip!!! capital " Canberra "

Actually,

I really wanted to visit Canberra.

To see a nation " Australia " reflected in Its capital.

The symbol " Flagpole "of Australia's Parliament

I knew its history about which Canberra was chosen as the capital and it wasn't thrilling city.

But I wanted to go there.

Because it's simply the capital !!!

I visited Washington D.C. in 2008 when I was in U.S.

Its trip was amazing!!!

Still remember about Whitehouse, Lincoln's memorial, FBI, High Court and Smithsonian museum.

Well,

How about a trip to Canberra?

Awesome !!!

Than I expected.... haha

From the car

We drove down toward Canberra by our car having a break on the way going.

Very Australian, isn't it?

So it took 4 hours included about 1hour rest^^

Not too bad !

Nice short trip:-)

But....as you might know, it was winter and it was definitely colder than Sydney.

Yes, it was 4℃ in the daytime....1℃ at night (T_T)

So,

We enjoyed ice skating in the city.

We did at 4:00-5:30 pm

It was a limited event from 29th June to 29th July.

It was a big fun !!!

We bought a family ticket at just $44.

And next day we had a time for sightseeing !!!

National Gallery Of Australia which I most wanted to come (^^)/

Look !!! He seems to put a big monument in his hand

There were a lot of beautiful and very famous arts.

My boys also enjoyed seeking the famous pictures.

Like a treasure hunt game;-))

Then

Moved to the Naional Library of Australia

I took away FW cofee at library's cafe

Though the taste was so so...nothing special....

Very normal...haha

And then 

Australian War Memorial which we most surprised to have a look.

I was very impressed by so many historical records.

It was a  huge museum

The great honor was shown everywhere.

Awesome flagship!!! Campos coffee in Newtown

After all,

I realized that Campos's flagship was best one in other Campos cafes I've ever tasted...

" Campos coffee " is known as one of best coffee cafes and retailers in Australia.

If you've ever visited to or lived in Sydney, you can recognize this logo.

It started to open in Newtown 10 years ago.



I like Campos coffee, but I'm not a Campos lover because that beans are slightly bitter-burning, nicely strong but don't have my favorite rich aroma ....it means I like its character, but not enthusiastic.

Absolutely in my point of view though...^^;

And,

Actually ex- Campos brista is working at my cafe now ( I like his coffee, haha ^^; )

Sorry...

I wasn't keen on Campos...

That was what I thought before I went to the flagship.

But after visited....

I changed my image a bit...

Because my FW which I ordered was beautiful and tasty!!!

I think its store's coffee is consistent and flawless because there are more than 4 serious baristas.

Perhaps,

I might be lucky as it was not so busy, few customers, it had a nice and friendly atmosphere.

In fact  I've heard it's always tooooo busy and customers have to wait for their coffee approx 15 mins.

Wow....

My time was completely different from that reputation.

I could get my FW in 5 mins^^

I went there on Sat morning....around 9:30...early?

Because of school holiday?

Winter season? maybe not...

Anyway,

I'm so happy to have a original one finally^^

Belated review !!! short trip to Japan

For my young brother's wedding

I went to Japan last month in early June n stayed at my home " Shimonoseki ", hotel in " Fukuoka "and in the airplane 4 nights for 5 days.

Lovely dress, isn't it?

Alone...;-)

My hubby gave me a gift of alone trip.

While I was in Japan, he looked after boys about school, meals, shower, everything, though he didn't vacuum n wash clothes, haha(^_^;)

Of course,

It was amazing trip!!!

You must imagine how relaxed the trip for myself means after being a mother.

But

Obviously,

I was always thinking of my family what they were doing??? in Japan hoping everything was fine in Australia.

Actually I tried to be relaxed w beer during a precious flight toward to Narita in Japan, but I might have some stressed over...because I got a little cold sore in my lip...

It was shocking ><

But it was mystery... After I got back home, it was disappeared!!!

Completely!

Too much worry, excitement, tiredness, happiness, comfort in my hometown and guilty on alone trip....

haha^^;

Anyway,

I was so happy to meet a great opportunity to wear my " Kimono ".

MY mum chose everything to be suitable for me^^

Cold but beautiful!!! Winter Sydney

I thought there was always " Summer " in Sydney before I came here...

But it's not true...

In fact,

It's freeeeeezing (T_T)

Especially after 4:00pm

Too cold...

Well,

For example,

It's 7 ℃ at night now and it was 18 during the day today.

Yes, 7....

Did you say it wasn't so cold?

Yes, sounds not too bad.

But,

Even now at home... I can't stand chill without heating...

Feel so cold.

I guess houses in Sydney are designed to be suitable for the summer, not winter.

Many gap of window...yes....(^_^;)

That's a normal case.

Although it depends on place facing North or South.

South is colder than North...totally opposite of Japan, haha



I can't wait for spring in late of Aug !!!
